I haven’t had a lot of time to be online lately. It is that time of the year for finals. It will be nice once summer hits and my time frees up! We went to the Earth Day celebration yesterday, and then to the zoo. The Earth Day festival was actually quite good, and the food was much better than the normal fair type variety. But anyway, that is another post. So I have been using a bit of my free time to play EQ2 that past month, and I quite like the changes in The Shadow Odyssey. It is great to see the game getting back to grouping. It is much like the old days. I also can’t wait to write my first book! Here is a look at the recent review I wrote on the newest EverQuest II expansion.

Wife aggro

I can’t even count the times I have been in a group or raid, and someone has left because their husband or wife is having a fit over their gaming habits. It can be quite a nuisance, especially if it breaks up the group when you have spent hours getting to the bottom of that dungeon. There have even been times others have gone link dead, and when they come back later they say their wife turned off their computer. This is extremely annoying, and I can only imagine that if it annoys me, how the gamer must feel.

Looking for Guild

As many of you know I have been in search of a new raiding guild with earlier raid times. I love how EQ2 has the ability to open the guild window in game when you are unguilded and search for new guilds. This window features guilds and allows them to put up a short description of their guild and what they are looking for in members.
Dear Devs Going Well

The “Dear Devs” project is coming along very nicely. I have been pleasantly surprised with the letters I have been getting from the playerbase. They have all been well thought out sincere questions regarding the game. I want to thank everyone who is sending them in, and add that it is nice to not be wading through piles of hate mail to SOE:) If you have questions to ask, remember it isn’t too late to write a letter and submit it!

Dreaming About EQ2- Guild Halls
Posted in Gaming, tagged EQ2, Everquest II, Guild Halls on March 20, 2008| 3 Comments »
Back at release we were always told there would be guild halls, and while this never happened many guilds decided to use the large homes in the game like the ones in South Qeynos as their guild halls. While this is a nice effort by the guilds they truly function as regular homes and are not really set up for the use of a guild.
Hiring Butlers in EQ2

I posted this idea in the crafting forums a long while back in the EQ2 forums, and I still think it is a great idea. I have yet to buy any of the crafting tables for my house because I do not want to fill my bags with harvests and fuel. My bags are full enough, and still when I run out of items it is a pain to have to run to a crafting merchant to refuel or to the broker to get more harvests. (more…)
