As noted by Stargrace in her blog MMO Adventures EQ2 announced that they are merging the pvp servers and will be allowing free character transfers. At some point they will be allowing this for the PVE servers as well. This got me pretty excited, and yes I know I said I was done and burned out, but who am I kidding? Yeah right…. this relationship is just meant to last! Why fate itself could not tear Norrath and I apart! Actually this news of the free transfer perked me up and put me in a jolly good mood! How exciting! As you know the reason I am so bummed out is because my husband wanted to transfer servers not only once but twice! So I am currently on my third server! I loved my first server, and I loved my second server and adored my guild there, but my husband being the flighty thing that he is wanted to move again, and being a good wife I moved too. (more…)

Everquest II- What a wonderful Surprise

Today I received a pm from Don Neufeld the lead designer over at Everquest II. What did he want? He wanted to know what problems I was having with the new customer service interface. After speaking with him and sending him a screen of the problem I am feeling much impressed with the prompt action to correct the problem. He said he is going to make it his top priority to get the system fixed! It is good to know that they are listening and they do care and are getting things taken care of. Kudos to Don for acting on this so quickly!

Ok I know the book is about burnout in organizations, but I like the colorful look of the cover and thought it would spice up my blog:P Although for those of you who are experiencing burnout at work, or for employers who suspect their employees are experiencing burnout it looks to be a good and helpful read. You can find The Truth About Burnout at amazon.com. (more…)
Boat Ride to Beta

I don’t know if it is the books on Celtic lore I have been reading before bed or the desperation for a new game, but last night I dreamt that I was on the docks of Thundering Steppes on EQ2, and for some reason I was also a gnome… Well I sat there waiting for the boat when all of a sudden a ghost ship appeared on the horizon. Not really one too much like the one in the picture, but more like the boat that took King Arthur to Avalon. (more…)

Lego announced today that they are working with Netdevil to create a new MMO. Raph Koster also posted this tidbit in his blog which can be found here. This really isn’t too surprising, it seems everyone wants a piece of the mmo market these days. I am intrigued by this as with lego involved the possibilities are endless. Just think of the creations one can make with legos and the hours of fun doing so! (more…)
Gods and Heroes Rock My Socks!

If you haven’t yet you should totally check out this game! It is going to be awesome! I just finished watching some of the combat videos and I can not even begin to describe to you how awesome they really are. You will have to go and see for yourself! The screenshots are pretty amazing too. Like the one I have posted here with the colossus picking up the player and tossing them around! I haven’t seen combat like this in any mmo! If you watch the videos you will see more realistic combat like in the screen. In one video as something kills you it stabs a spike through your chest! When you die… you die… Gods and Heroes also looks like it is going to have a great community. You can check out their forums to chat with some of the members. Looks like they are going to implement some features to keep the community active with one another in game as well with places like the bath house. Head over to Gods and Heroes to check it out!
