Today a guildie looted this most uber and fabulous weapon. We all gasped as we saw “lvl 150″. What does this mean? At the current rate of 10 levels per expansion, that is if SoE raises the level cap each expansion, which they won’t, but if they did that would be like 15 expansions from now, and at the current rate of 1 expansion every 6 months, that would be like 2 1/2 years… So we can only conclude that this is a huge mistake, bug, error, accident, whatever you want to call it, or that a player is expected to hold onto this for 2 1/2 years?
I really have trouble believing either of these to be the case, and I am going to guess that either A. There is going to be a huge level increase, or B. Since I am told that this is a series of items you get as you go along a quest line, the final quest in the line may buff you to level 150 and you will need these uber and god like pieces of armor to fulfill your destiny, and save your butt from the current crisis that you have gotten yourself into. There is also a C. Which would be an early April’s Fool gag, but since a lot of the humor left with Moorgard and Blackguard, I have to find this unlikely as well.
I do admit that the idea of being level 150 has me itching to play for hours to achieve such a magnificent feat, and to conquer all levels that would be suddenly stacked before me, waiting for me to devour them like a mmo cream pie.
Then again, it is probably just a bug. What are your thoughts on such uber lewt?
The item is actually not bugged, if you read the quest text, the item is not for the players, but for someone else, hence the 150. You also have to turn it in to the npc’s as you do the chain, so you never get to keep the items.
Ah! I didn’t think it was bugged, figured it was for the quest. Although I retired my lvl 70 to start over as a Fae. Thanks for the reply! I will fill the guildies in!
You posted an entire blog about that stupid quest item? We already had the discussion in game that it had to be for something else. Like possibly getting buffed to level 150 for a short duration like when you turn into the dragon.
You must of tuned me out as usual.
And you must not have actually read the blog… like usual. If you would have actually read it, you would have seen that I did indeed discuss different theories on the item, and that it was quest related.
